I've observed Occupy Wall Street for the better part of a year.
What I've seen is a potential reform movement over-run by drunks; druggies and vagrants disinterested in what activists are pursuing.
As a populist conservative I endorse the idea of Americans publically uniting to bring much needed attention to issues.
Trying to transform America into a national flop house is a losing proposition.Occupy, as currently constituted, has that image problem and it's largely based in reality.
Squatting in parks for the purpose of abusing drugs and alcohol instead of altering national conversation on the economy has worn thin.
Even liberal Black activists I know have washed their hands of Occupy because of the perception that it's essentially a group of 21st Century White Hippies who don't wash and aren't interested in conventional reform.
That's pretty bad when socialism friendly Black folks say you're too way out.
Conservatives ought to consider a " Unify All Streets " movement where Tea Party activists; Republicans; libertarians and other liberty lovers gather to reclaim public spaces and discuss real measures which will help America.
It would be lawful; patriotic and solutions driven. Police and elected officials are welcome, instead of attacked.
Unifying all streets is a step in bringing our country together instead of dividing it!
