#STOPHATINGHOME: COMBATING AMERICAN BLACK SELF DENIAL

#StopHatingHome is the latest product of my effort to re-program urban males to love America instead of hating it on  behalf of " 1960s retread socialists " ( I actually called one that! lol ) and apolitical chocolate klansmen.

" Have no fear Cap Black is here! God bless America to sisters and brothers of all colors! " was my opening comment this morning on a local weekly radio show I co-host,

 

I make sure its majority Black audience hears one of their own ALWAYS talking local control; personal responsibility and addressing community problems as citizens= not outcasts! 

 

#StopHatingHome zeroes in on American Black self-denial! Sufferers consider themselves anything but American- and it shows! 

 

First Lady Michelle Obama admitted as much when her husband's victory was the first time she felt proud of her country! 

 

This disconnect also has very real consequences when unpatriotic men litter Hood and Heartland with victims of gun fire and drive by pregnancy.

 

American Black self-denial elevates petty criminals to political prisoner stature and perversely, the more they harm, the more celebrated they become!

 

It takes otherwise productive members of society and deputizes a fifth column whose respectability masks resentment that nullifies juries ( anybody remember OJ? ); maintains political monopoly ( Democrats ) and ignore blatantly racist behavior ( Black flash mobs attacks ).  

 

One of my street sessions with a brother who considers himself an ' African in America " yielded an admission that he is a citizen and does have a civic duty to participate through voting and calling 911 when crime occurs near his sidewalk vending table.

 

Another session saw me successfully convince a young Rastafarian that he needed to vote because he was an American citizen dutybound to add his opinion to the upcoming ballot.

 

I stressed it's not about liking candidates it;s about liking liberty more. 

 

Street sessions usually begin with these verbal assessment tools used to determine if someone is a self denier::

 

*Offering them a flag lapel sticker

*Asking if they'd ever vote Republican?

*Telling them they're Americans to see their reaction

 

No wrong committed against our institutions matters to self deniers because grievance always is their trump card. The trick is taking energy invested in that grievance and transferring it to preserving American greatness.   

A community filled with vandals and vandal groupies goes the way of ancient Rome within scant generations. 

 

Getting them to make peace with America means transforming self denial of citizenship into self acceptance of their American identity, which means they first must:
