Founding Father - George Read, Delaware

Read's mother was the daughter of a Welsh planter, and his Dublin-born father a landholder of means. Soon after George's birth in 1733 near the village of North East in Cecil County, MD, his family moved to New Castle, DE, where the youth, who was one of six sons, grew up. Shenanigans!

So now we have “The President’s Proposal” on healthcare. The verbiage within this proposal says things like: “makes insurance more affordable by providing the largest middle class tax cut for health care in history”, and “helps over 31million Americans afford health care who do not get it today” and “It sets up a new competitive health insurance market giving tens of millions of Americans the exact same insurance choices that members of Congress will have.”

I ask for prayers for my brother in law Bill. He is the one I went to S.C. to see. He is undergoing surgery at 1 PM EST. He and I have been extremely close for the 39 yrs he has been married to my sister. Thank you.
